SORD X Cole Sauls Wahoo Knife: Born From An Itch To Fish

A WAHOO KNIFE BORN FROM A WAHOO WEEKEND

Some drops get planned months out. This one happened because the water finally looked good to chase wahoos here in our home waters in Destin.

Earlier this week, a little idea started bouncing around SORD HQ — "Wahoo Weekend?" The kind of thing you say out loud and immediately want to make real. We were so fired up about getting back out into wahoo territory for the first time this season. The more we talked about it, the more it felt wrong to keep that excitement to ourselves.

So we called up our good friend Cole Sauls.

Cole is a good friend of ours and a Florida Panhandle artist who lives to fish. We told him what we needed, something that captures the excitement, intensity, and pure thrill of wahoo fishing, and he completely blew it out of the water. The piece he came back with features two wahoos locked in on an trolling lure, eyes up, full tilt. The same manic energy we feel every time we're the ones chasing them. It's funny how that works.

We laser-engraved Cole's hand-painted art directly onto the blade of our 8" Medium Flex, the newest knife to our core lineup, which is also the knife that was literally built for cleaning wahoo. Think taller fish, thicker bodies, and a blade designed to move through them. It just made sense. We didn't overthink it. Cole brought the art, we already had the right knife, and things fell into place the way they sometimes do when you just let it happen.

We only made a small run of these, and when they're gone, they're gone.

So yeah, this one's a surprise drop. It kind of surprised us too, because it all started when we noticed the water looked right. We got the itch and we wanted to do something that felt as spontaneous and exciting as wahoo fishing itself. So here we are.

This one means a lot to us. Wahoo fishing is something we genuinely chase with everything we've got here at SORD and this drop is our way of celebrating that with the people who do the same.

Here's to hoos. And here's to you who chase 'em where the map turns blue.

DROPPING FRIDAY 4PM CT / 5PM ET — THIS WEEKEND ONLY, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
