I have been filleting stripers that I have been catching in Boston Harbor. I always used a 7” filet knife and this 8” makes taking the first and second side off the bones and easily takes the skin sides off the filet. No bones and I also use it to clean the bark vein on the lateral lines out for a true white filet.
I highly recommend this size knife and will be buying the 9” next.

I got the snapper bundle and two of three are perfect knives. Sharp, attractive, well built. The 8” super flex loses a star from me because its blade is a bit too limber for my taste. But that’s just me. Great company, great product

Very disappointed with the sharpness of the knife. After filleting only a few fish the knife cutting edge was dull and no longer sharp. Love the handle, disappointed with sharpness

I received this review form that said inshoild have had time to use my knife by now. It hasn't come. I was told it would arrive on 8/23. UPS said they JUST received it on 8/26 and it should arrive 9/2. That is annoying at best. At least your review requests are on time. So far, very unimpressed.

These knives are proven. This is the perfect do it all knife for inshore and offshore species. I have several other sord knives in various sizes and they are all amazing. I will continue to buy Sord and be a life long supporter. They flat out work!

I clean a lot of salmon and lake trout per year. I’ve tried pretty much all the knives out there under $200. Needed a new knife and saw these on Instagram. Took a chance and ordered the 9” Flexy. Halfway through on fillet I was sold! Super sharp right out of the box. The slick coating kept it from dragging and didn’t need to be constantly rinsed to slide freely. Absolutely recommend it for any salmon angler in search of a new knife!

Still waiting for it to arrive I had hoped that I would’ve had it in time for my salmon fishing trip here in Alaska.

I lost my first Sord on a boat that went down in the Lahaina fire and was reluctant to replace it since so many other cheaper options were available. You get what you pay for. Ive sharpened and resharpened 2 knives of a different brand since then even having to reprofile the blades. Cutting fish almost every day im glad to have a Sord again. Great knife.

We catch a lot of fish and I normally don’t run a mate. So, when I get back from a long day and full boxes and 6 people that are tired, sunburnt and ready to go home, time is of the essence. Being able to fly through fish on the cleaning table and get them on their way is invaluable. I just got my boat bucket and I put that thing to use daily. I love having a knife for everything. To big for my purpose. A 4inch, and a 6 inch would better serve me. That being said, the quality is outstanding

I haven’t used it yet. But when I get back to Alaska in mid July next year, I will be filleting a ton of salmon. Looks and feels great.

Knife itself is very nice high quality.
The sheath is very poor plastic material . The handle of the knife (g10) is a very tough and durable. The sheath is soft plastic . After a less than a week's of light use the The knife literally falls out of the sheath. I found this out while surf fishing, now no longer have the knife.
Not sure how such nice knife can have such a sub par sheath , especially a dive knife

This thing is bad to the bone. Handle flares feel really safe when using.

Knife was extremely dull when received and was basically identical to a $6.00 piece of crap my wife ordered on Amazon from China. Thrilled I didn't order one of their filet knives which was my original intention.

MONO NIPPERS

Work like a charm! Very sharp.

Absolutely the best mono snips I’ve ever used in my life. Do lots of rigging for giant bluefin and these babies are key to a nice clean quick cut. I would recommend them to anyone who fishes, mono or braided lines. They are amazing and worth every penny.

Great pouch, I like that you can clip or loop it on your belt. I only wish that in the future that you would add a securing strap for the pliers or needle nose. I would of given it a 5 if it had one. In the heat of the battle sometimes they slip out.

In June of 2025, the crew for Blair Wiggins Outdoors tv flew to Ketchikan, Alaska for 9 days of fishing and filming with my old outfit, Baranof Fishing Excursions. My current VS leather sheath spent 4 summers guiding in Alaska and the remainder of the year in Florida The poor girl was showing her age. What drew me to the SORD sheath was it held both pliers and a knife. So I purchased my first SORD leather tool sheath just prior to leaving. While on the dock, I ran into the bartender’s son who had just graduated from HS and also completed his 6 Pack. While catching up, I saw he was keeping his pliers in his back pocket. It was at this point I decided to gift him my brand new and slightly used SORD combo plier and knife sheath. I handed him the sheath and he handed me a coin. I’ll never forget the look on that kids face.

The sheath is made with quality leather and blue stitching. I didn’t know how much I missed it till I was without it. My only suggestion is it lacks a weep hole and the bottom and also there’s no D-Ring to attach a safety cord to. I would have given it a 5 star rating if not for those two issues. I fixed those two issues with a hot nail. 🤙🤙🤙
