Nice design but

I was excited for this. Upon receiving I saw that it is made in china. That’s not my biggest issue. For the price I would’ve hoped it wouldn’t need work right out of the box. I am now 45 minutes into sharpening it and I’m not even close. I was able to run my finger down the blade with pressure before I started sharpening. The handle is kickass and I will take it in the water soon but the dullness of the knife was very disappointing for 90 dollars

Great spearfishing knife

This knife easily dispatches fish as it is nice and sharp. The handle gives you a great grip on the knife. It is also surprisingly rust resistant. I have taken it in the Gulf twice so far and no evidence of rust which is a lot better than some Italian brands that I own. This is now my go to knife underwater.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • After incredible feedback on numerous different variations of fishing knives, our sub-surface friends demanded a blade for themselves. We worked with local divers and dive shops in the Florida panhandle to create their ideal dive knife, and our spearfishing friends nationwide are loving the way the gun grip handle clicks into the sheath. When we said our tools our meant to be abused from the beach to the deep, we meant it.

  • The blade is hand sharpened to an angle of 20 degrees. We recommend sharpening all SORD knives at a 20 degree angle.

  • The knife is razor sharp right out of the box, but as any knife that sees excessive abuse, it will need to be sharpened. Visit our knife sharpening page to learn more about our recommended ways for sharpening your new knife.
